Lots of Summer Fun!

It's only the second week of summer and we have already had lots to do. These pictures are in reverse order because I loaded them on wrong. Anyway, the first pictures are from Girl Scout camp this week. We only got to go the first 3 days because Thursday got rained out (it actually rained ALL day Wednesday, too, but we just had to tough it out in the rain). Tuesday was water day....definitely the campers favorite day..

Here's the group I was in charge of (5th graders). Meghan and 3 of her troop members were in my group
Here's Meghan's SWAPS hat. Whenever Girl Scouts go to a group event, they make SWAPS (Special Whatchamacallits Affectionately Pinned Somewhere) and exchange them with other scouts. The girls make something small and attach it to a safety pin so that it can be hung from a hat. Meghan usually comes home from camp with about 80 pins that they decorate with the camp theme in some way.

cooking french toast...

Nick even gets to go to camp since I'm a volunteer. He gets to hang out with a boys group

craft time...making suns, moons, and comets (can you guess what the camp theme is this year??) If you guessed space, you're correct

Meghan and Tess

Last weekend, I took Meghan and 2 friends to the water park. Meghan won
4 tickets to the water park through girl scout cookie sales. The girls had a great time. It would have been more fun if it hadn't been almost 100 degrees that day:)

Looks like a fun start to summer!! You can keep your 100 degree weather down there. That's to hot to enjoy anything!! Best place is in the pool!! Love, Grandma and PaPa
