Christmas Parade

The annual Christmas parade was Saturday morning. As usual, it was the coldest morning of the season. It was a chilly 24 degrees when we got up that morning and it was about 32 degrees when the parade kicked off. Thankfully, it was sunny out so that made it a little more bearable. Here are some pics from the parade.

Thanksgiving Pics

Sorry I haven't posted in awhile. It's been a busy month. I had hoped to have some "snow" pictures today but it just didn't happen. We got some snow flurries today but the kids were at school so I couldn't get any pictures. The kids did get to go out and enjoy the "snow" at school, though. I know all of our family up north is probably laughing but we get excited at any form of snow down here since it rarely comes around.
Anyway, here are some pictures from our week in Georgia. Here's a group picture with all the cousins.
Here's Meghan and Everett. Here's Avery, Meghan and Addison making turkey out of popcorn balls. It was quite a mess but the girls had fun.

Here's Meghan's finished turkey...

On Friday, we went to Helen. It was very cold but the kids had a great time feeding the black bears. Nick especially enjoyed it. The bears were so cute. They would stand up and clap their hands for food.

Here's the kids enjoying the pool and hot tub at the hotel.

Thanks to everyone for a great time. Maybe you can all come to Texas next time.

Trick-or-Treat

Here's some pictures from trick-or-treating. Meghan went as a hippie and Nick was a Texas Rangers baseball player.

Before we walked around the neighborhood, we went to our church's Fall Fest. Here's Nick's best friend Jake and his sister.

Meghan and her friend Tess..

Granmom came over and passed out candy while we walked around the neighborhood. Thanks Granmom!!

Meghan and her friend Natalie

Here's the friends we go trick-or-treating with every year....Natalie (the honey bee), Jake (BatBoy) & Claire (Bat Girl). We walked the entire street this year...for those of you who don't know where we live, it's long. Nick skipped the last two houses because he was so tired.

Fun in Dallas

My mom and I took the kids to Dallas yesterday. We met Meghan's friend, Aubree, and her mom. We went to the Arboretum and then over to American Girl. This was the first time we have been to the Arboretum and loved it. We'll have to go back sometime when Ryan and my dad can go with us. Here are a few pictures from our day.
This was a 15-foot house made entirely of pumpkins.

Check out these big pumpkins! I don't think I've ever seen any this big...

At American Girl, the girls did lots of shopping and made out their Christmas lists. My mom took Meghan and Aubree to "Molly's Halloween Party" where they had dinner and made two crafts. The girls had a great time.

Carnival Fun

On Friday night, the kids school had a fall carnival - the first in several years so it was a huge success. Ryan and I worked a booth most of the night so my mom took the kids around for us. Many, many thanks to my mom - the kids had a great time because of her. Here's Meghan (and Nick in the next picture) playing a game...
